beef is best type of meat, especially grass fed
its macro nutrient values are superior to chicken breast

@StudenTutorials There is about 20-24 grams per 4oz of chicken. The easiest way is to look at how heavy the package of chicken you’re buying is and do the math yourself.

  4. StudenTutorials on July 7, 2011 12:30 pm

hey man ! how much protein has a chichen breast? i mean how do you measure it?

Actually the broccoli is really low-carb, it’s those peppers that have the most sugars in them.

@CampbellFitness Oh, alright, i usually get something similar to that at walmart, but they arent fresh

    @CampbellFitness Cheers

  13. CampbellFitness on July 7, 2011 4:08 pm

@setmedick Ideally I’d try to get in some form of complex carbs. Brown rice is an example, but for me it makes me feel really bloated so I prefer oatmeal with a scoop of protein in it.

  14. setmedick on July 7, 2011 4:14 pm

For a low carb diet would you still take in carbs such as brown rice for your pre workout meal? Cheers

@hfe22 There hasn’t been any studies to prove this. Maybe if you were talking about frying with it or something along those lines. There have actually been studies to show that using olive oil actually helps prevent cancer.

  16. hfe22 on July 7, 2011 4:59 pm

@CampbellFitness Thanks! But you shouldn’t heat the olive oil. It becomes cancerogenic if it heated up too much.

@CampbellFitness In that case, get a solid meal plan in place first. Then implement a consistent weight training program where you progressively increase the weight. You should be able to see the gains you’re looking for if you’re able to stick it out for a while.

@CampbellFitness well my goal was to build muscle however.. i didn’t realize how bad i was eating until recently, along the way i accumulated fat which is visible on my face (no chiseled jaw feat.) so now i just want to cut down the fat a bit & get back to building muscle with a good diet

  19. CampbellFitness on July 7, 2011 6:41 pm

@ChunkyLove4 I think doing something like that is counter productive. You’d be better off getting a good clean diet plan and adding in a consistent work out plan. What exactly are you trying to accomplish?

  20. ChunkyLove4 on July 7, 2011 7:22 pm

@CampbellFitness alright so can i alternate? like cut for 1 week lose 1-2lbs, then next 2 weeks back to building muscle, etc, etc.

& THX for the quick reply!

  21. CampbellFitness on July 7, 2011 7:22 pm

@ChunkyLove4 I mean you can, but realistically you only want to lose 1-2 lbs a week of fat. Once you go on an extreme caloric deficit you risk losing some muscle as well.

  22. ChunkyLove4 on July 7, 2011 8:18 pm

pls answer asap.. can i cut for a week at max & get back to building muscle? or would that be a wasted week?

  23. Altois on July 7, 2011 8:54 pm

@TheBurgerLord That’s what the chickens are fed.

  24. vickersx2 on July 7, 2011 9:25 pm

@CrazyRIQ For me personaly I do a 500 cal deficit. So if I burn off 200 cals on the treadmill, I will only cut my food intake by 300 cals bringing the total to 500 cals. Not sure if its right but its been working for me.

  25. CampbellFitness on July 7, 2011 10:17 pm

@djangoprodegy I’d suggest going lighter. As you lose weight you’ll find you’ll lose some strength too.
